NELLIYAPATHI HILL STATION

This fascinating hill station of Kerala is 75kms. from the southeast of Plakkad, and is reached by traversing 23 hairpin curves having several vantage view points including Kesavan Para and Seethargundu. The dense and verdant forests harbour exotic Kerala wildlife. The hills of Nelliyampathi are also well known for its orange cultivation. The ranges here consist of a chain of ridges cut off from one another by valleys. The highest peak is Nellikota. The forest contains teak of extraordinary height and girth. Estates of tea, coffee, orange and cardamom dot the ranges. The bracing climate and green magic of nature enhance the exhilarating experience.
